* o Implemented an MPEG-1 layer-2 audio decoder board using Motorola 96002 DSP. * o Designed AC-3 audio CODEC system based on Texas Instruments TMS320C40 DSP. * o Contributed in two generations of MPEG-2 video decoder projects. *  1st gen.: Designed the display board using Altera FPGA. *  2nd gen.: In charge of integration of the entire decoder and testing * o Integrated and tested off-the-shelf HDTV front-end modules (tuner, 8-VSB channel decoder).

* Designed and maintained the backend software for the spectral imaging camera system. The Linux based software implements: ( * H/W control over camera and PTZ ( * Video ingest from IR sensors and regular camera ( * Computationally intensive proprietary gas detection algorithms ( * Alarm and video output generation. Most of the developments are C++/Qt based. OpenCV, Intel IPP libraries are extensively used. Led software development and release scheduling

o Defined development process and drove from start to successful launch of two generations of H/W-based transcoder products using multi-DSP PCI board. The products were deployed for mission-critical military and high-profile streaming services worldwide. o Oversaw the PCI board design based on TI DSP from concept to schematic and coordinated the system integration with the Linux-based host. o Architected the adaptive delivery framework for the implementation of multiple streaming technologies (HLS, MPEG-DASH, Smooth, RTMP) and designed the equivalent test cases. o Managed geographically-disperse QA teams for all aspects of the transcoder product - ingestion, A/V CODEC, streaming output and overall reliability.

* Designed and implemented an audio/video CODEC framework. * Designed and developed an AC-3 audio encoder. * Architected and developed the rate control and motion estimation stages of MPEG2 video codec.

o Driving the software design, implementation and test, managing the engineering teams in USA and S. Korea, with daily conference calls and frequent face-to-face meetings. o Shaping the company’s short and long term roadmaps and dictate priorities to address the market needs and emerging technologies through sales-engineering communication. o Interfacing with technology partners worldwide to ensure interoperability and ecosystem-wide compliance (DRM, middleware, STB, CDN, ad insertion, streaming partners). o Streamlining customer support operations to minimize response & resolution time.
