Director of Media and Technology Services @ Halifax County Schools

About

Sonya Parker is a media and technology services director. After a decade of teaching, she discovered a passion for library science. Her transition from the classroom to the library afforded her the opportunity to evolve as a school leader. After delving into technology in the media center, she chose to pursue technology as a full-time career. Sonya has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master of Library Science degree from East Carolina University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Her concentration was school administration. In her spare time, Sonya enjoys the outdoors, bowling, walking, reading, journaling, serving at church, and spending time with her family and friends.
