Sonia Maria Photography was officially established in the Fall of 2009. Eager to have a business name of my own, I decided to take my passion for photography to the next step. I have been exploring photography on my own for quite some time now, initially sticking to mostly nature and landscape photos. While nature will always be my first love, I have taken the plunge into full time portrait and wedding photography to capture the many different expressions that people often unwittingly exude. Most of my photos are captured candidly in an effort to magnify the raw state of being that people subconsciously slip into when they think no one is paying close attention. Photographing people allows you to become absorbed in another person's world, hopefully to catch a glimpse beneath the surface. I am currently booking weddings and am available for all of your portrait needs as well!
