Accounting responsibilities: Audited financial statements, establishing accounting practices and policy, oversight of the accounting department and staff of 12, assess systems and processes to maximize efficiency Tax responsibilities: Production of the Form 990 (informational tax return), establish processes for obtaining information, resolve tax issue, review UBIT potential, ensure that the University is adhering to tax rules and regulations Budgeting responsibilities: Manage a $105MM operating budget that includes over 200 cost centers, 1,000+ projects, analyzing and reporting on budgetary issues. Partner with academic and professional centers on campus to develop manageable budgets that help each entity meet its individual goals and objectives. Key contribution: Created and developed the architecture to streamline the operating budget process to an online platform reducing time and paper and improving data access to budget managers.
