As a translator for the Human Language Project (HLP), a global initiative led by TAUS and locally coordinated by The Word Translation in Laos, I contributed to the English-to-Lao translation effort. My responsibilities included translating and reviewing various types of English content into accurate and culturally appropriate Lao, ensuring high linguistic quality while strictly avoiding the use of machine translation. I worked independently on the TAUS online platform, managing my own schedule and workload. Through this project, I successfully translated over 20,000 words, consistently met quality standards, and strengthened my skills in terminology management, cultural adaptation, and professional translation practices.
