The show was launched on April 2012 on Ethiopian Broadcasting Television (EBS) targeting its 30+ million viewers in Ethiopia, different parts of Africa, The Middle East and other parts of the world. I am the producer and host of the prime time show TechTalk With Solomon on EBS. The show is moderated in my Native language Amharic to reach out to as many as possible Ethiopian viewers. The vision of this show is to bring awareness about the technology and science world by engaging its viewers in educational and yet entertaining fashion. It also strives to bridge the technology gap between the developed and developing world. I am producing/hosting the show on a part-time basis to give back to the community in my home country and other fellow Ethiopian-Americans here in the USA.

As a senior IT consultant, my role involves leading teams and work stream to bring several technology solutions to federal clients that helps them sustain & grow a cost effective & result oriented IT operation. I have acquired the necessary skill set in information systems technology trends, IT acquisition, implementation, operation, and governance through higher education & past experience. This gives me a competitive edge to consult my clients as a trusted adviser in an unbiased fashion on how to get the most out of their IT infrastructure to solve their business problems and achieving their mission. I provide advice and recommendation on how to proceed with various technological adoptions, changes, upgrades and other strategic IT decisions in this ever evolving digital era.

As an IT consultant, my role involves delivering several technology solutions to federal clients in the area of SDLC, systems integration, IT project management, and IT risk management to support my clients in effectively executing their IT operations to solve their business problems and fulfil their mission. I have acquired the necessary skill set in information systems technology trend, acquisition, implementation, operation, and governance through higher education & past experience. Some examples: - Performed the assessment of a federal client’s strategy of its data center infrastructure platform migration from mainframe to private cloud computing environment. Tasks in this project included helping the client determine the as-is cost, and a future steady state cost comparison between the two platforms to identify cost life-cycle outlook. The findings of this project helped the client make a better strategic decision moving forward how to implement the migration effort. - Performed a risk analysis for the acquisition & implementation of the largest EHR software acquisition in US government history. Tasks in this project included meeting facilitation among multiple division heads and their respective SMEs to develop risk and mitigation plans; managing, updating, and tracking program risks; preparing presentation decks for senior leadership briefings. - Involved in a joint Federal clients' project to help the effort of implementing several Electronic Health Record (EHR) system components (from multiple vendors) that lets the two existing separate systems interact with each other to exchange patient data. Task include technical requirement specification, validation, gap identification & coordination of the integration effort between the different data centers & development, testing, and production environments.

State-of-the-art Oncology non-profit organization founded in 1964 with the overarching goals of improving cancer care and prevention. More than 30,000 oncology practitioners belong to the society, representing all oncology disciplines and sub-specialties. Members include academicians, physicians and healthcare professionals in all levels of the practice of oncology. I was a part of The Information Technology Department that develops a broad range of applications providing IT services to different internal departments, members, non-members, and vendors. Some Examples: - Working as a software developer I worked with stakeholders, project managers, and Quality assurance personnel to analyze the business requirements, design, implement, and test a full life cycle software application. - Developed dynamic web applications using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010, ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, and SQL Server 2005/2008, Javascript, jQuery, HTML + CSS, Drupal.
