Graduate Research: HPLC analyses for base release yields in gamma irradiated DNA and krypton ion beam irradiated DNA. The technique of chemical separation is a very important approach many growing chemical companies as well as pharmaceutical companies are using. My area of expertise is with the GC, HPLC, UV and IR. I have performed lots of identifications, separations in nano moles, pico moles using these techniques. I am a very meticulous and result oriented person whose experience cuts across professions. During my graduate studies, I used the HPLC extensively to quantitate the unaltered DNA base release yield after gamma and krypton ion beam irradiation. The results of this test which is the first time of study will give scientist a broader idea about the track structure damage of the DNA backbone and radicals formed after an irradiation.
