Skyelar is a Portfolio Manager and the Chief Compliance Officer at Hemisphere. She joined the firm in 2015 and became a Partner in 2019. She holds a BA in Commerce, Organizations and Entrepreneurship from Brown University where she played on the NCAA Division I women’s ice hockey team. She also holds the Chartered Investment Manager designation. Having started as a Portfolio Administrator, Skyelar has experienced each role at Hemisphere, giving her unparalleled insight to every aspect of the business. She actively manages client portfolios and oversees trading, performance reporting and compliance. Skyelar also leads business development and marketing efforts. She is on the Investment Committee and contributes to the strategic plan and operations of the firm. Skyelar is a member of the Steering Committee for the Alberta chapter of VersaFi (formerly Women in Capital Markets) and is the Secretary of the Board of the Unlocking Potential Foundation. In 2021, Wealth Professional magazine recognized her as one of the Rising Stars in Canada’s wealth management industry.
