Lead multiple teams within Hortonworks to deliver high-quality open source products for the enterprise. • Ambari Metrics Service (AMS) and Anomaly Detection (AD) in time series data Designed and implemented the system from the ground up currently deployed on 1000+ customer clusters and used for real-time monitoring and alerting. (Apache HBase backend with classic lambda architecture utilizing Kafka and Spark for AD) • Performance optimization and scale out Re-architected the cluster manager and operation orchestrator using web-sockets and asynchronous event processing to scale to large clusters. Fully distributed AMS using Apache Helix • Log Search Leading the Log search team to GA an open source end-to-end system for collecting, storing and visualizing Hadoop logs. (Apache SOLR as the backend)

Hortonworks provides a 100% Open Source Distribution of Apache Hadoop, adding the required Operational, Data and Platform services from the open source community in the Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) Part of the Apache Incubator, Ambari team for Hadoop Data Platform Contributions to other projects like Apache Phoenix, HBase and HDFS. Highlights: • Designed and developed Ambari Metrics System for Hadoop on HBase using Phoenix • Scaled out Ambari server layer to enable managing Hadoop clusters of the order of 1000+ nodes • Designed and implemented several server-side Ambari features

TeleNav is the global leader in location-based applications delivered via a mobile device, the first to launch a GPS navigation and mobile workforce management service on a cell phone in North America • Integrated disparate client backend systems to work with TeleNav Enterprise mobile product. Interacted on a one-on-one basis with clients to implement cost-effective and scalable solutions. Notable integration clients: Xerox, FUJIFILM USA, Advantage Sales and Marketing, Draeger Construction. • Designed and implemented version 2 of the TeleNav Data Exchange (TDX), public Web Service API for TeleNav Enterprise customers to integrate with the mobile product, compatible with .NET, Salesforce and Axis2 with a RESTful implementation. • Designed a Quartz based distributed job scheduling system that enables customized reporting and backend alert capabilities for TeleNav Vehicle Tracker product line. • Contributed to TeleNav Workflow, a platform that allows enterprise clients to build customizable workflows, built by extending JBoss community's JBPM framework.

Intelliun is a recognized pioneer in Model-Driven Development – MDD, simplifying software development with its Virtual Enterprise (VE) platform that provides visual modeling tools for capturing the business’ logic in UML (Unified Modeling Language) and developing end-to-end, highly scalable N-tier applications. • Developer on WebOS team, Intelliun’s Content Management System and integration of WebOS with Amazon EC2 API to allow on-demand scaling and deployment of WebOS clusters. • Performance benchmarking and optimization of VE server, based on stress testing of the platform. • Re-architected the payment application model of the Point-of-Sale subsystem, resulting in 70% performance gain, part of the Rental Management System using VE for a leading Storage Services vendor.

• Member of the DITSCAP team contributing to the Department of Navy, Charleston, SC's, C&A initiative • Combined the Service oriented designed paradigm (SOA) and Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) to develop the C&A toolkit. • Developed enhancements for the GEneric Object Model (GENOM), Ontology Modeling tool with capabilities for reasoning and domain discovery.
