Sivaperumal Sampath

Dr. S. Sivaperumal is a NAAC Peer Team member, Currently serving as the Pro Vice Chancellor at Presidency University Bangalore, overseeing key university-wide portfolios including Academics, IQAC, Research, Innovation & Incubation, and International Relations, in addition to leading the major Schools of Engineering, Computer Science, and Information Sciences. Also serving as Member of Board of Management, Academic Council and IQAC. He also worked as Dean - Academics, Dean - Sponsored Research and Incubation at Presidency. He also worked at Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai as Professor - CSE IoT and Director for International Relations and Director - Placements. He also worked as Dean – R&D and International Relations, Director - Placements, Dy. Director - International, Research and Industry Collaborations at Vel Tech (Deemed) University, Chennai, India. Academic Administrator with more than 20 years of Experience in the areas of R&D, International Relations, International Admissions, Placement / Corporate Relations and Accreditations & Ranking in a Deemed to University which is consistently ranked in top 100 in NIRF and has NAAC highest grade. Managed projects worth more than Rs.50 Crores funded R&D. Strong association with the Scientists and Administrators from Funding Agencies such as DST, DBT, DRDO, ISRO, DAE, ICMR, MSME and MeITY. Travelled to 12 Countries towards Strengthening International Collaborations and signed MoUs with more than 200 Institutions across 36 Countries. More than 375 Students were nominated to Semester Abroad and hosted 110 incoming mobility students. More than 400 Students were admitted. 133 International Faculty Courses organised. The other experience includes contribution to Skill Development as SPoC of NSDC, Revamping the Alumni Engagements, facing committees of UGC & MHRD for Deemed to be University Status. Serving the statutory apex committees such as BoM, AC, FC, IQAC and Planning & Managing Board. Served as NAAC Steering Committee and NBA Programme Coordinator. Completed Doctoral Degree in the area of Communication Systems under the department of ECE and published more than 35 Research Articles in International Journals and Conferences including IEEE Transaction & Springer. Completed Projects worth more than Rs.200 Lacs from Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Organised 5 International Conferences with more than 30 International Speakers and with funding from DST and DRDO. Working as Full Professor and taught courses in the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
