I am a board certified clinical anesthesiologist at Emory University. I have over a decade of experience working in multiple clinical settings ranging from large academic center to small rural hospitals and outpatient surgical centers. I am currently the medical director of the post anesthesia care unit(PACU) , chair of the difficult airway committee, director of off-site anesthesia services, member of the: hospital resuscitation committee, resident education committee, OSA(obstructive sleep apnea) committee, and ERAS(enhanced recovery after surgery) committee. I serve multiple national committees on the AAAA(American Asso of Anesthesia Assistants) and am involved in teaching at the Masters of Anesthesiology program at Emory University. I am actively involved in research with multiple publications as well as abstract and poster presentations at major anesthesiology conferences. I continue to serve as mentor for medical students and residents as they pursue their own careers and research in anesthesiology. Recently, I have been called for my expert opinion and testimony for medical malpractice litigation. I am a firm believer that physicians are in a position of great privilege and responsibility and should adhere to the standards of care while also understanding that medicine is an art with multiple reasonable interpretations of best practice.
