Member of the Senior Management Team and responsible for the development and implementation of IT strategy across TCV, an organisation with approximately 100 offices locations across much of the UK. Also responsible for all aspects of BAU IT service provision.

British Marine was founded in 1876 and is a specialist Marine insurance company. Since 2005 BM has been owned by QBE and is now fully integrated into the parent company. I have been a Director of the company for several years and have been responsible for all aspects of IT since my arrival. Specific achievements include the implementation of a new insurance system and the development and implementation of a data warehouse system.

Ocean Marine was a Marine insurance company that experienced rapid growth in the early 1990s. At the time that I joined, the company had offices in the U.K. Isle of Man, Brussels, Madrid and Athens. It also had IT systems that it had outgrown and no longer adequately supported the business. My focus was to replace these with scalable systems based on new technology.

I joined NEHA following reforms to the National Health Service and introduction of the internal market. As a result of these reforms, NEHA, along with other District Health Authorities became responsible for the provision of its IT services and systems. I was the first IT staff member to be recruited and my achievements included the implementation of PC networks, new telephone systems, development of the IT function and department and the development and implementation of a data warehouse system.

Part of the Philips Electronics group, Philips Information Systems provided hardware, software and systems integration services to commercial clients, particularly in the banking and public sectors. My work included the implementation of a new PC based system into a major high street bank, the rollout of office automation systems for the Inland Revenue and working on the preparation of bids for other private and public sector organisations.

Delivering cycling lessons and instruction to children and adults across Essex. I work for Essex County Council, other Local Authorities and on a freelance basis.

In 2011 I founded Chelmer Consulting Limited specifically to provide professional I.T. services to smaller companies. Chelmer Consulting provides a cost-effective alternative to employing a Head of I.T. full time. CCL also provides project management and supplier management services.
