Hi, I'm an engineer with an academic background at Ph.D. level (Nuclear Engineering and Energy sciences from Politecnico di Torino) and working experience in nuclear fusion technology, cryogenic distribution technology for cryopumps and superconducting magnets, high vacuum technology R&D, both in scientific, engineering and management positions. I'm currently a passionate staff member of ITER cryogenic and vacuum team, where I lead the final design, prototyping, testing and manufacturing of the cryogenic subsystem of the Tokamak Disruption Mitigation System. I love the applied research able to create value for our planet through inventive approach. I'm looking forward to contribute to develop sustainable and carbon-free energy technologies for the future of mankind, with an innovative and fast-paced approach. WHAT COULD I DO FOR YOU? - Execute and lead R&D and engineering programs in the following fields: cryogenic systems, thermal-hydraulic systems and plants, high vacuum pumping systems, superconducting magnets. - Design and engineer thermal-hydraulic systems according to the EU Pressure Equipment Directive, including cryogenic distribution systems. - Design and engineer high vacuum pumping systems, including turbomolecular pumps, sputter-ion pumps, cryopumps, roughing pumps, vacuum measurement and control. - Perform complex and Multiphysics analysis in the following areas: thermal-hydraulics (CFD), cryogenics, rarefied gases and plasmas. - Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage interfaces in large projects. - Coordinate research programs/projects and write scientific publications. - Draft patent applications and maintain a patent portfolio. - Write technical specifications for procurement contracts, with proper requirements identification, propagation, management and verification along the contract life-cycle, including procurement under nuclear regulation quality system.
