Job Responsibilities: • Obtaining best value from suppliers of Raw Materials, Machinery / Equipment, Consumables and Services while monitoring cost, quality and delivery performance as per project requirements. • Management of all activities related to material procurement & services including Sourcing, Negotiation, follow up of POs, dealing with Custom Clearing Agents, Freight Forwarders & Logistic agents for timely arrival of Local & Imported Material. • Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of buyers / purchasing officers, and Warehouse staff involved in managing materials & finished goods. • To manage inventory levels as per required availability of good and to render services to production & maintenance department for smooth operations. • To manage timely parking of Invoice and payment of Suppliers along with Cash Flow planning & reporting. • Managing and training staff to monitor and achieve KPIs including individual & departmental performance objectives.

To manage all Imports of Descon Karachi Manufacturing Works from getting offer till receipt of material at facility including: - Sourcing of Suppliers & assessment of their Technical & Commercial Capability. - Collecting Offers by floating RFQ to Pre-Qualified Vendors and making Comparative Statement. - Joint Technical & Commercial evaluation of offers with Project, Engineering & Quality Department. - Issuance of Purchase Order after negotiation and finalizing suitable Commercial Terms. - Administrating procurement process till receipt of material at Plant including expediting activities and following up shipment. - Follow up of payments/LC/TT with Finance Department. - Close coordination with Legal/SRO Section for applicable duty & taxes and custom clearance issues. - Evaluation & Calculation of Landed Costs for accurate cost booking at Finance. - To present Import Procurement Status in weekly Projects Health Review (PHR) meeting.

• Member in company’s supply chain council established to develop, implement and monitor strategies to improve efficiency and responsiveness of Supply Chain. • Lead Inventory Reduction project in group to reduce working capital required by monitoring and reducing excess raw materials (Obsolete and Slow moving item) & by increasing inventory turns. • Generation of Master Production Schedules based on Annual Plan and Sales priorities. • Responsible for Material requirement planning based on Master Production Schedule. • Prepare, analyze & present various statistical reports related to Production & Inventory. • To follow up the timely arrivals of material by having close coordination with Procurement section. • To ensure optimum stock levels with effective inventory management.

• To deal with Supplier Quality Assurance, by liaising with suppliers and improve the quality of developing and incoming components • Measuring all the critical dimensions of the component from its Design drawing and preparing Initial Sample Inspection Report - ISIR. • To perform capability studies and process audit. • Customers complain investigation and root cause analysis
