After completing my bachelor's degree, I received an offer via Upwork and started working on Upwork. I had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of technologies and tools, including Python, Flask, Django, Heroku, Python bots , Python Automation , Jinja, and Web Scraping using Beautiful Soup and Scrapy. Additionally, I gained experience in API Scraping , Data Extraction with Python , and worked with Open AI's GPT-3 models, specifically the Davinci-text-003 variant, gpt-3.5-turbo, gpt-4, DALL·E 2 . In terms of databases, I utilized SQLlite , SQLalchemy , AWS RDS , Firebase and MySQL . Expanding my skill set, I also worked with Java and Hibernate, as well as frontend technologies such as HTML , CSS , JavaScript , JQuery , and Ajax . PHP and TypeScript were part of my development stack, along with popular frameworks like WordPress , Node.js , React.js , and Laravel . I further enhanced my knowledge in database management with MySQL and Firebase . Aside from programming, I also engaged in web research and Sinhala Localization . I had the opportunity to work on Binance-Telegram bots using Python , and gained familiarity with Docker , Kubernetes , and Minikube (Ingress) . Additionally, I explored Google Vision AI for visual recognition tasks and worked with cloud platforms such as AWS , Azure , and GCP . Overall, I had a diverse range of experiences, allowing me to grow as a professional in the field.

🏢📅 In 2019, amidst my undergraduate days, I founded a startup company driven by my passion to support the people of Sri Lanka. Heladiva Raz Holdings introduced Unique Raz, an online marketplace for unique products and services. Our primary goals were to facilitate Sri Lankan sellers in accessing local and foreign markets through our platform and to contribute to Sri Lanka's foreign exchange. Uniqueraz.com which was similar to etsy.com, faced numerous challenges, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. 🌍🛒 Unfortunately, the timing was not favorable for our venture as the global health crisis posed significant obstacles. Many foreign internet payment gateway providers, including Stripe and Paypal, were unable to extend support to Sri Lanka. Consequently, obtaining approval from other foreign IPG providers like Cybersource and 2Checkout for a Sri Lankan multi-vendor online marketplace became exceedingly challenging. Additionally, our local IPG providers did not offer support if we allowed vendors to engage in dropshipping or permitted foreign vendors to register. These circumstances significantly impeded our ability to expand Unique Raz to a global level. ⏸️✖️Considering these challenges, alongside several other reasons, I ultimately made the decision to discontinue the project and close the company. During my internship at SLIIT, I had the opportunity to work with various tools and platforms 🎓🌟. I gained valuable experience in using WordPress 🖥️, Orange Scrum 🍊, OpenProject 📊, Taiga 🏞️, ProjectLibre 📋, Adobe Photoshop 🎨, Adobe Illustrator ✏️, and many more. 💼💻

This distance learning MSc program was initially scheduled for completion in 2024. However, due to personal circumstances that arose around mid-2022, I was compelled to take several leave of absence periods totaling approximately 1.5 years. Despite these challenges, I have remained committed to my studies and am on track to complete the program by 2027.
