My searches start with Gartner MQ, Forrester, IDC's MarketScape and similar analyst reports, It's a product first approach to talent that works well for Cisco vs the usual skills first approach. Execution wise, I deliver leadership hires for engineering, product and design orgs across Core Cisco in the Americas plus special hiring projects -> led recruiting efforts to build the first AI Red Team at Cisco from scratch for the "AI Defense" product line, this is right at the bleeding edge (Multi Modal Attack Vector) of an AI Research & AI Security charter at Cisco (International hiring, split between the US and Israel) We ran partnerships with AI Research Institutes for PhD hires, got to collaborate with some of the brightest Ex-Google DeepMind researchers here at Cisco from a recruiting stand point, a valuable learning exercise. In addition, I cover Distinguished and Principal, DE / PE Level - IC SWE and Machine Learning Hires for all of Cisco's recent SaaS acquisitions such as ThousandEyes, Splunk, Robust Intelligence, Duo, Isovalent and Armorblox. Apart from SW Engineering I've also been in the weeds of hardware and systems recruiting for Silicon One ASIC, Quantum, Optics, SerDes and Photonics Engineering teams. With that I cover the whole Cisco platform, that is Silicon -> Network -> Security -> Observability -> AI Software.
