About
My background sits at the intersection of research, design engineering, materials, analysis, testing, and real-world industry applications.I have worked across academic and industrial settings, which has shaped the way I approach engineering problems. I try to connect theory with practical constraints, use analysis and testing to support decisions, and look for the technical gaps that often sit between disciplines. In industry, I have worked in highly regulated engineering environments across a broad range of mechanical and structural engineering activities, including code-based evaluations, piping and pressure-boundary components, flanges, gasketed joints, field engineering issues, and work involving ASME codes and standards. I also have experience with coating systems, seismic qualification, and aging management. In research, my work has included polymer and composite materials, shape memory polymers, syntactic foams, numerical modeling, experimental mechanics, materials characterization, and finite element analysis. I have used tools and methods such as ANSYS, Abaqus, MATLAB, Python, mechanical/thermal/rheological testing, FTIR, SEM, TEM, and nanoindentation. What I bring is not only experience in different areas, but the ability to connect them. I enjoy problems that require design judgment, root-cause thinking, analytical depth, and practical solutions that can hold up under technical review.
