My Ph.D. research focused on developing copper-catalyzed cross coupling reactions of benzylic C–H substrates and various nucleophiles, where I developed my project management mindset in general, as well as synthetic skillset and analytical techniques. Through extensive collaboration with scientists from both academia and industry, these projects have led to many publications in high-impact journals. My further engagement in high-throughput experimentation (HTE) and cheminformatic allowed me to connect synthetic methodologies with the modern chemistry capability and drug discovery efforts. Afterwards, I have joined Merck & Co., Inc. and focused on development of antibody-drug conjugates (ADC) for oncology applications.
