▪ Help Chinese high school students plan their extracurricular activities, academic goals, reading lists and standardized tests preparation ▪ Facilitate team members to guide students complete their college common application with the office workflow

* ▪ Develop the whole curriculum, create teaching goals, teaching procedure and teaching materials with the co-teacher * ▪ Teach English in a multi-level adult English class consisting of eight to twelve students with various native languages * ▪ Design each course based on the curriculum and students’ wants, needs and interests

* ▪ Brainstorm thoughts and ideas with applicants on the U.S. graduate school application documents and collect helpful * ▪ Write the application documents such as statements of purposes, essays and resume, and revise and polish writing samples * ▪ Guide applicants in taking the graduate school admission online interview by providing them with strategies and conducting mock interviews * ▪ Collaborate with colleagues in scheduling the online meetings for brainstorming and mock interviews

* ▪ Prepare and adapt curriculum and course materials for TOEFL learners with different English proficiencies * ▪ Report on the class content, students’ performance and interaction and learning difficulties and key points after each class * ▪ Collaborate with faculty members on ideas, share students’ learning progress in different aspects and evaluate the current teaching methods

* Assist Dr. Matsumoto to do the literature review regarding her ethnographic research * Observe and video record the class, and transcribe the discourse to the detailed notes

* ▪ Provide students with after-school tutoring and other academic support such as TOEFL & SAT tutoring * ▪ Communicate with parents to report students’ learning progress and life situation * ▪ Facilitate students with their college application progress, guide them to write their college application essays, and complete the online application system, and transcript submission, etc. * ▪ Prepare and teach the TOEFL and ESL class four hours per week, and do the formative assessment one time per month
