Former Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer with experience at a Fortune 500 company, a blue-chip firm, and a diversified conglomerate with 18,000 employees. He gained his experience in Asia and Europe in multiple sectors including Telecommunications & Technology, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing, Hospitality and Financial Services. Shiron is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and holds an MBA from University of Leicester, United Kingdom. Shiron's mission is to use his cross-sector C- level and board level experience to deliver value to stakeholders. Having trained at Ernst and Young, he joined British Fortune 500 Company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) where he held the position of Finance Director. Following this, he switched gears to join the telecommunication sector where he was the Chief Financial Officer of one of the leading Telecom & Data Centre Operators with more than 8,000 employees, which provides diversified services and a range of ICT solutions that cover fixed lines and mobile, broadband, data services, Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), cloud computing and hosting services. He also held the position of Chief Financial Officer of Dilmah, one of the Global Tea Brands. Dilmah also has a collection of Villas and Boutique Hotels under the umbrella of Resplendent Ceylon. Thereafter, he held the Group Chief Financial position and subsequently Executive Director position of a reputed diversified conglomerate with 18,000 employees in multiple sectors such as retail, manufacturing, insurance, Exports, non-banking financial services and plantations of Tea, Rubber & Oil Palm. Currently, he is a non-executive board member of listed and non-listed companies. At the early stages of his career, he also worked as the Financial Controller of a leading Non-Profit Organization in the United Kingdom.
