Being a secretary, I needed to communicate with people from different departments. This involved being informed of the upcoming major events and related marketing and advertisement tasks and also stall duties. I assigned and organised the tasks to each individual, reminded them about the potential issues and problems and monitored their performance. Also, I was responsible for promotion of activities, i.e. distributing flyers, persuading students to attend the lectures and the mid-semester party. Being a hostess of the major party, I needed to prepare for my speech based on the audiences in order to make the atmosphere comfortable and dynamic. Moreover, to keep up with the order of the party, I needed to discuss and collaborate with the planners of the party to ensure the party flowed smoothly. The party that we held earned a net profit of 1000 Australian Dollars, the party ran smoothly and it was greatly enjoyed by the participants.
