Shiran Zimri

From the lab bench to the bedside and now leading at a national level, I am driven by one mission: to accelerate meaningful therapies for people living with neurodegenerative diseases. With over 12 years of experience in neuroscience, translational research, and biotech leadership, I have taken on roles that expand my ability to connect science, strategy, and patient care. As one of the earliest employees at NeuroSense Therapeutics, I played a key role in shaping the company’s growth from a bold startup to a Nasdaq-listed biotech, advancing toward a pivotal Phase 3 trial. As Country Lead for Canada, I spearhead national efforts in regulatory strategy, medical affairs, commercialization, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that scientific breakthroughs translate into real-world impact for patients. My journey is grounded in cross-disciplinary collaboration: from building global partnerships and securing competitive grant funding to publishing in leading journals and presenting at international conferences. These efforts are fueled by a deep belief in the power of science to drive change. Beyond my professional work, I’m committed to giving back- mentoring young women in STEM, advocating for inclusion, and speaking in schools and communities, particularly in developing and peripheral regions. Through active involvement in the BIO International Committee, We@HealthTech, “Bashaar,” and “Midaat,” I work to build a more engaged, equitable, and inspired scientific culture. I’m proud of the path I’ve walked so far and even more excited by the challenges and opportunities ahead.
