Worked as a lead NABH auditor to get Pre-Accreditation Entry Level Certification for Sri Sai Hospitals, worked as a patient safety officer. Nursing administrator of the institution, formulate goals and objectives, participate in formation of policies of the nursing services of the concerned hospital. Planning for placement of nursing staff, including sister in charge, staff nurses, students, the rotation plan and maintain a satisfactory schedule. I would also review the census and reports of the hospital. Making regular hospital rounds individually and with hospital superintendent as well as with various hospital committees to ensure the quality of patient care services. Responsible for making nursing audit and take necessary action accordingly. Will supervise various stocks of wards for keeping the stock position up to date with the help of sister in-charge, had taken initiative and participate actively in condemnation of articles of the hospital. Was responsible to prepare working statement of all nursing personnel and co-ordinate with hospital authority. Had to maintain various record registers such as cumulative record, leave record, attendance register, explanation letter file, grievance file of nursing services, performance appraisal, health record, report of serious patients, census book (daily, monthly & yearly) etc. Prepare the budget proposal for the nursing services department. Keeping myself apprised of the hospital condition and be aware of any special patient of significant diagnosis and needing special care. Had investigated the problem as asked by higher authority.

As a nursing superintendent, I was in-charge of the nursing department, their duty-roaster, performance, training, attendance and overall monitoring. I was also qualified a Patient Safety Officer and NABH Internal Assessor.

As a nursing supervisor I would promote proper maintenance of patient records and ensure nursing staff adhere to hospital requirements. Develop policy and guidelines for nursing staff. As a infection control nurse, I have conducted regular educational classes for staff nurses on infection control techniques, presented data regularly in infection control meetings. Inspected and reported regularly of outsourced laundry, devised and implemented hand hygiene monitoring tool in the hospital, implemented proper segregation of bio medical waste and disposal. As an assistant nursing superintendent I contributed towards nursing administration and supported the nursing staff to achieve the quality standard in patient care management. Worked as internal ISO auditor to implement the quality standards to the hospital.

Implemented new cardio-thoracic surgical services, well versed in the use of equipment's like high end monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, Swan Ganz catheters and intra aortic balloon pump, etc. Managed the staff nurses, assessed the skills of the staff nurses, had trained them to perform as per the JCI standards. Trained staff nurses in emergency assessments, infection control management and overall well-being of the department. Contributed for the documentation of protocols and procedures that a new service demanded.

Monitor patients condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and service. Observe and interpret patient symptom and communicate them to physicians. Collaborate with physicians and nurses to device individualized care plans for patients. Check routine procedures (vital signs monitoring, administration of medications) are followed by the nurses and fill in patients charts appropriately. Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety. Supervise and train fellow nurses. To follow infection control guidelines and to teach the fellow nurses how to follow and implement it. Assist in medical emergencies and teach the nurses how to participate in emergency care like BLS and ACLS. Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending, educational workshops, conferences, etc. Worked as ISO internal auditor to upgrade the quality standards for the organisation.

Monitoring adult and pediatric, surgical and non-surgical patients conditions, administer medications, keeps records accurately, vital signs recording, planning and implementing patient care plans, consult with healthcare providers, participate in all emergency codes (code blue, code red, code pink, code orange and code red). Attend all in-service educational activities provided by the hospital.

Assessing patients condition and planning and implementing patient care plans, monitoring cardiac adult and pediatric, surgical and non-surgical patients, administer medication, treating wounds and providing advance life support, assisting physicians in performing procedures, attending awareness programs to update the knowledge.
