Shi Mei Chin is the Chief Financial Officer of Spark Systems, a Series C FinTech Company backed by Citi, HSBC and VCs, that aims to provide ultra-low Latency Aggregator & eFX Solution Platforms. Shi Mei leads all financial and accounting processes, encompassing reporting, budgeting, performance management, and strategic initiatives. Additionally, she oversees capital fundraising efforts and maintains relationships with both potential and existing investors. Prior to Spark, Shi Mei also has 7 years of experience in Audit and Assurance for Banking Capital Markets in the Big 4s globally. Notably, Shi Mei has pioneered the FinTech team within PwC offering comprehensive solutions encompassing auditing, assurance, consulting, and regulatory service. Actively engaged in the FinTech ecosystem, she served as Treasurer of the Singapore FinTech Association and serves as a mentor and strategic advisor to startups, incubators, and universities. Recognized for her contributions, Shi Mei was honored with the Top 50 FinTech Leaders Asia Award in 2019. In June 2022, Shi Mei has been appointed as Chief Sustainability Officer for Spark Systems and is tasked to lead the sustainability practices of the Company. Shi Mei is also a Chartered Accountant (“CA”) of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and have recently successfully completed her Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (“CIMA”) qualification.
