Supported NCER's mission to high-quality research by funding the nation's leading scientist and engineers to improve EPA's scientific basis for decisions on national environmental issues. Managed peer reviews of extramural grants. Recruited experts in topic areas and ensure grant applications were evaluated for scientific merit and technical feasibility. Conducted panel review meetings and facilitate scientific discussions. Integrated Scientific Integrity Policy into operations, products and staff training. Conducted program evaluations and developed metrics for measuring grant program impacts. Awarded EPA Office of Administration and Resources Assistance Management Award for improvements to the competitive grant program that increased accountability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

* Liaised with First Nations groups in a human health risk assessment, focusing on dietary exposures. * Conducted environmental risk assessment of radioactive isotopes. * Modeled iodine fate and transport in Canadian Shield habitat.

Developed framework and modeling tool for biodiversity and ecosystem services valuation in resource management decisions. Example projects included development of sustainability goals and metrics for the utility industry, environmental assessments of development projects in accordance to IFC Performance Standards, greenhouse gas modeling based on predicted forest management practices using IPCC guidelines, and ecological risk assessments of new energy technology. Applied water and sediment quality indices to determine ecological health. Reviewed and advised on corporate sustainability goals and metrics, including recommendations for external communications and internal collaboration and capacity building. Co-authored "Socially Responsible Investment in a Global Environment", a book about the materiality of environmental and social risks in financial decision making.

Manage initiatives and projects in the areas of biodiversity, ecosystem services, decision analysis, causal analysis, and environmental assessment. Focus areas on the integration of biodiversity and ecosystem services (BES) in strategic land management and risk identification for BES. Technical projects include natural resource damage assessment in marine environments, modeling biodiversity effects due to landscape changes in pristine environments, and using weight-of-evidence approaches for assessing causality to current issues such as declining pollinators and reduced populations of protected species. Assisted in product registration of food additives and animal drugs for FDA and pesticides for EPA. Organized and conducted multi-day scientific workshops. Developed scientific program management framework for setting goals, defining objectives, identifying key performance indicators, and monitoring program success with stakeholder feedback analysis.

Technical lead in ecological risk and environmental assessment, including organic and metal contaminants in freshwater, marine and terrestrial systems. Technical projects included assessment of biodiversity effects from contamination, understanding the role of biodiversity in ecosystem resiliency and providing assessments of injury to natural resources. Awarded Exponent Excellence Award for "Efforts and excellence, above and beyond, in producing the Geddes Brook/Ninemile Creek baseline ecological risk assessment within 7 days." (September 2000) Awarded Exponent Excellence Award for "outstanding technical performance in being first author of the peer-reviewed journal article Evidence of Enantioselctive Degradation of Hexachlorocyclohexane in Groundwater, published in Environmental Science and Technology, Volume 38, Issue 6 (March 15, 2004). This accomplishment is a benefit to the company and an example to her peers." (April 2, 2004).

Leads the FDIC Environmental Program Office national field operations. Manages the strategic development and implementation of FDIC's environmental policies, procedures, budgeting, program management, contingency planning, and risk mitigation.
