I was a 911 operator, also mediating between the public and emergency services. I had extensive training classes and was also certified in EMD and IDACS with department, as well. Early on, I interned doing mostly clerical work. I also was a member of the jail staff, monitoring close to one hundred inmates in secure hold. Latter in my career, I was made a training personnel for all new-hires.

I currently mediate between the public and all emergency services that are offered on this installation. This entails receiving emergency or distressing calls, sending appropriate responders, utilizing Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) protocols, managing the EMD usage by being a quality assurance personnel, and also maintaining and using the Indiana Data and Communications System as the coordinator for the installation. I also monitor several alarm points for tenant commands to ensure safety throughout our installation. Weather and static electricity are monitored using ThorGuard and system-wide notifications are made, if weather is threatening, by using the Athoc notification system.
