• Responsible for delivery of Wireless projects from conception to site commissioning. • Developing policies and procedures for Network Optimization and quality assurance. • Ensuring excellent Network performance and quality through active KPI tracking and Drive tests and optimization activities according to Policy. • Managing network capacity planning and implementation of expansion projects for Network elements (2G, 3G, 4G and 5G) • Managing a team of Engineers by ensuring that there is high daily productivity and employee growth. Creating and managing personal development plans for each individual and tracking their professional progress. • Coordinating and supervising Engineers on day-to-day work including troubleshooting of poor performing GSM, UMTS or LTE cells and initiating action plan to improve. • Researching, Identifying, and Implementing RAN features to improve user experience. Features implemented so far include Mobility load balancing (MLB) for high PRB improvement in LTE, Carrier Aggregation, Automatic Neighbor Relations (ANR), RANSHARE for CSFB improvement, WB-AMR for voice quality, 4 by 4 MIMO and 256 QAM for throughput improvement. • Conducting Knowledge transfer sessions to departmental team members and other sections within TNM for better understanding of the network and other tools i.e., U2020, PRS, CEM, Genex discovery and METRICELL • RAN Project Management, which includes planning, supervising equipment installation, commissioning of new BTS, NodeBs, eNodeBs and gNodeBs and troubleshooting all problems after site commissioning i.e., KPIs not meeting the targets. • Use of analytical tools to detect and resolve customer complaints raised. The tools include CEM discovery and METRICELL Smart tool.

• Conducting Drive Tests on GSM, WCDMA and LTE networks in Malawi’s central region, analyzing the results using analytical tools such as Nemo and TEMS, then planned, and implemented optimization works to resolve problematic areas. • Attending customer complaints involving network performance and resolving them. • Daily monitoring of Network KPIs for GSM, WCDMA and LTE systems for Huawei equipment by analyzing performance statistics and initiating action plans to be implemented to improve the KPIs that are not meeting the target. The major KPIs monitored Include: Call Setup Success Rate, Congestion, Handover Success Rate, Call Drop Rate, Traffic Utilization, UMTS RRC and RAB Setup Success Rate for PS and CS, Data Throughput, LTE RRC and e-RAB Setup success rate, FE and GE Transmission port utilization etc.
