I am in a career transition - I'm currently a Master's Degree candidate studying to be a genetic counselor at the University of Minnesota. I have a passion for both science and for providing compassionate care in a healthcare setting. In my current position with HealthPartners, I assist healthcare providers with choosing the best genetic testing for our patients. This includes identifying the right test for the right patient at the right time - also considering the lab performing the test, the methodology of the test, and the cost. This is known as test utilization management. In addition, insurance prior authorization is an important service I help to provide. I also consult in a variety of situations for providers, clinical laboratory leadership/staff, and members of HealthPartners Plan. HealthPartners is leading the way in Minnesota with this exciting new laboratory service!
