Mixing/Administration of chemotherapy, hormonal/non-hormonal injections, and growth factors. Set up rehabilitation equipment, FMLA/Disability forms completion, monitor PT/INR and Coumadin levels, follow patients on UPMC Pathways, train new employees, order supplies from Oncology Supply. Assist with Clinical Research and monitoring patient outcomes.

Primary Preceptor/Mentor- Assign Graduate Nurses to preceptors to help facilitate transition to the floor, assess, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout course of hospitalization, coordinate patient care with members of the healthcare team, administer chemotherapy and blood products, educate patient and family about diagnosis and follow-up care.

Caring for a group of eight to twelve patients. Providing am care and providing necessary needs upon request. Assisting Nurses with bedside procedures when needed.

Making assignments, coordinating group activities, providing a safe environment for staff and patients. Providing positive feedback to adolescents with behavioral issues.
