Peaceworker through The Shriver Center at UMBC, pursuing a Masters Degree in Intercultural and International Communication with an emphasis on Latin American studies.

Organized and set up/tore down chapel events on campus, as well as any other Spiritual gathering. Led worship in chapel. Worked in the Spiritual Life office once a week answering phone calls, and giving assistance to any students who came in with questions. I also mentored students leading Bible studies on campus.

I was head English/Spanish translator for short term mission teams that visited the organization in the Dominican Republic. I led tours of the small villages, translated sermons, and served as a mediate between the natives and the missions teams.

* I have the privilege of taking students out to coffee and listening to their struggles, regarding their college careers, and helping them connect with the right departments and counselors. * Teaching youth about life skills and self-esteem in order to prevent teen pregnancy and substance abuse. * Strategizing with school cafeterias to come up with attractive and nutritious food options for elementary students. * Providing hygiene classes for mothers and their children, to better cleanliness among young kids. * Current Projects: * Photojournalistic Exhibit/Panel for high school students, showcasing the stories and experiences of women who have been teen mothers. This effort was made to lower teen pregnancy rates in Tumbaco, Ecuador * GLOW/BRO CAMP- Educational camp for thirty young adults focusing on gender equality/empowerment, art as communication, leadership development, and sexual education.

* As Communications and Development Coordinator I: * Provided information on how to connect, volunteer, and support financially; achieved through daily posts on social media, bi-monthly prayer updates, and monthly newsletters. * Developed and implemented a Social Media Communication strategy by: * Researching best communication methods to reach particular audiences (ages, geographical locations, and ethnicities).

Connect church community members with ministry leaders and service opportunities. Find out what their strengths are by meeting with them (as inquiries arise) and discussing how they can best serve the community with their talents and abilities. Act as a liaison between outreach teams and people in need of support Right now I am working with teams that are supporting incoming Refugee Families from Syria. I make sure volunteers know where to bring donations, how to join a team, and provide events and conversations that give teams information about best communication strategies with these refugee families. Plan events and insure guests are being cared for and heard. This looks like preparing food and/or ordering catering for an event, as well as booking rooms, setting up sound systems, and arranging room set up (chairs, tables, lights, etc.) Manage department emails, phone calls, calendars, and other communications Having proficiency with Google mail, calendars, spreadsheets, as well as Microsoft, Adobe Suites, Excel, and budgeting software.
