Responsible for Nationwide supply chain - 6 sites, Leading Procurement, Demand & supply planning and Inventory control.

Leading procurement and demand/supply planning for personal care site and promotional packaging site. Lead a team of 4 supply chain professionals including 2 procurement officers & 2 supply planners. Responsible for demand & supply planning, purchasing, inventory management, DIFOT, vendor management, capacity planning, PIPs, new product set ups, S&OP, SLOBS & 3PL.

• Production planning and Scheduling for over 2300 procedure packs. • Review all system generated recommended work orders or requisitions to ensure consistency with inventory requirements. • Maintaining and improving of daily and weekly production schedules to ensure consistent best practice is achieved. • Establish and review effective forecast horizons to ensure sufficient raw material can be obtained and identify potential capacity constraints. • Material Requirements Planning with the procurement & sourcing teams. • Reporting crucial KPI’s like Customer DIFOT, plan attainment, DIOH. • Analyze and provide regular forecasts to the contract sterilizer on expected volumes. • Identification of problems, faults and ensuring they are rectified in the appropriate time frame. • Relay component shortages to buyers and product managers for investigation and correction. • Liaise with the business to determine whether to delay production, or proceed with the production by substituting or omitting the components and gain approval for suitable substitutions. • Analysis of batch size and frequency of product. Consolidate where necessary to schedule optimal batch sizes to improve production efficiencies. • Responsible for termination of pack contracts and discontinued raw materials. • Conduct excess and no sales product meetings, raw material shortage meetings and DIOH meetings. • Monitoring of orders against forecast and budgets. Look for spikes or holes and provide suggestions to Key Account Managers. • Analysis of back orders and procedural pack change requests. • Variance analysis of production and scheduling activities to increase ongoing efficiency. • Derive the development of scenario planning and “what-if” analysis pertaining to the optimization of production schedules to support the business to meet its financial and customer service targets. • Inventory management to ensure an appropriate balance of production and inventory levels.

• Responsible for capacity planning and utilization of available resources by using lean manufacturing principles. • Implementation of KAIZEN to increase productivity and achieve sustained continual improvement in targeted processes. • Responsible for Six Sigma green belt projects by using DMAIC tool. • Technical writing, such as preparing datasheets, wastage report, and allowance trends. • Product testing and qualification, machine breakdown analysis, root-cause analysis and generating corrective and preventive actions requests (CPAR). • Analysis of operational data, production schedules and costs to determine optimum worker and equipment efficiencies. • Undertake time and motion study. Develop standard minute value (SMV) and production targets for process improvement. • Develop time standards, standardize processes & work instructions. • Implement 5S methodology at all the production floors. • Identify bottlenecks and improvement areas, perform root cause analysis and implement changes to the existing production system. • Derive change management projects, training workers to handle the change without any impact on the productivity. • Responsible for floor layout, line balancing and routing of various products. • Monitor order tracker and measure efficiency against the production plan. • Responsible for sampling and planning pilot production runs. • Follow up, maintain and forecast customer orders in the ERP system. • Conduct diligent routine inspections of all production floors to ensure that services are being delivered to the standards. • Plan and manage the on-going performance of sustainable system to optimize Energy usage. • Maintain ISO 9001, OHSAS and SA 8000 standards. Ensure that hazard and risk assessments/registers and site inductions are conducted for all tasks and all records are maintained
