Manager of Community Partnerships @ Fisher House Foundation

About

With a lineage deeply rooted in military service as the daughter of retired USAF General Larry O. Spencer, former Vice Chief of the Air Force, and having served proudly as an Army veteran, I bring over 15 years of distinguished experience spanning both the military and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving as the Fisher Service Award Program Manager and Community Relations Administrator at Fisher House Foundation, I am privileged to lead the esteemed award competition recognizing organizations delivering exceptional services to military families. In this pivotal role, I collaborate closely with esteemed military leaders, including the Joint Chiefs of Staff and their spouses, as well as our internal Communications team and external partners. Together, we strategically plan and execute events and campaigns aimed at raising awareness and vital funds for the Foundation's mission. In April 2024, I was appointed by the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Governor, Glenn Youngkin to serve on the Veterans Services Foundation Board of Trustees. Drawing from my extensive background as a Dental Assistant and Military Liaison in the Army, I possess a profound understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by military families. Leveraging my expertise in program management, event coordination, donor relations, and public speaking, I craft and execute impactful initiatives that not only honor the sacrifices of our military families but also empower them. Furthermore, I utilize my social media platforms and blog to share insightful narratives as an Army veteran/MST survivor, aiming to inspire broader support for this vital cause. As General Colin Powell aptly stated, "There is no end to the good you can do if you don’t care who gets the credit."
