Great job in which I partcipated in a group that produced documentaries, art shows, concerts and made products that were trendy and relatable. I came up with the idea for: Art of Recovery, a Human Journey and the show is still an annual event in Traverse City which is groovy. I lobed how artistic this job was. Our main goal was to educate the population about stigma regarding mental health.

An elite group of foster youth alumni, we would have our physically meetings bi-annually. Our council developed documents regarding policy centered around major components of the fostercare system. Many of these documents were used statewide and nationally as a new policy model with Department of Human Service. So we were actually a group of smart kids re-making policy for the system that helped keep families together. We were funded by Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative, unfortunately they decided to not fund us anymore and the council was no more. We were a product of the Child Welfare League of America located in D.C.

The board wanted "young" representation. I had been volunteering with the crisis center for years and was very familiar with the center's vision, mission and services. So I became everybody's boss at 21 and got to hire, fire people and decide what programs got money or didn't. It made me way cooler than my friends.

A weekly meeting held in the state capitol in which I attended a task force to revise policy centered around permanency and childwelfare.

I interned with the Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative program at the Traverse City site. My duties were pretty broad. I mainly helped the coordinators with whatever they needed when things got really hectic. Sometimes I would enroll and train new members, teach workshops, run meetings or mail a million reminders of upcoming meetings, my tongue is getting sore thinking about this.

I create sarcastic comic strips and am haldf way through a graphic novel. My goal is to be published by November 2015.

I began modeling after I decided to leave the childwelfare field.

One of ten carefully selected alumni. Traveled the country for the summer spreading messages of hope an inspiration to our younger brothers and sisters. The internship takes place over three months in Seaside, OR. The interns receive an intensive two-week training in which they adopt platform issues, develop literature for Fosterclub, and then set out to travel the country to attend and work teen conferences! The best part of the internship of course is working with the young people still in foster care, as they prepare to age out of the system. Our duties as advocates were to teach them skill sets to help them navigate the system so they could eventually achieve permanency. Best internship ever, worked my toosh off!
