About
Shashwath Bolar is a distinguished automotive design leader with over 18 years of experience in shaping the future of mobility for mass markets. As Head of Design at Greaves Electric Mobility in Bengaluru, he is focused on defining user experiences and aesthetics for India's rapidly growing electric vehicle landscape. His rich career includes work with leading global brands such as Tata Motors, Bajaj, and Nissan - Ashok Leyland. He has been refined through critical international assignments across Austria, UK, Japan, Germany, Italy, France, and Switzerland. This expansive global perspective allows him to seamlessly integrate world-class design standards with deep local market context. A firm believer in the power of design to drive societal change, Shashwath champions a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach to product development. His core mission is to leverage design to directly improve the lives of millions through sustainable, accessible, and well-engineered mobility solutions. His strategic and technical background, anchored by a Masters in Automotive Design from Coventry University, UK, and a Mechanical Engineering degree from RV College, Bengaluru, uniquely positions him to lead complex programs at the intersection of technology and human centered design.
