As a research assistant, I worked along side a graduate student to explore properties of new perovskite materials. I aided him in any way that he asked with the research. Some takes included creating thin film perovskite samples and characterizing the targets. I also met with the professor to discuss the findings.

I worked along side other engineers in two separate departments throughout the internship, medical and systems. In medical department, my task was to work to improve the cryogenic Dewars. Areas of focus were improving the manufacturing process, finding new materials for the lid, as well as finding new epoxies for a glue. I was able to aid in automatizing one part of the manufacturing process saving the company thousands of dollars. For the lid, I conducted experiments that tested the strength of two materials. I wrote a technical report on my findings. Finally, I found a few epoxies that could have replaced epoxies used, but was unable to test them. In the systems department, my task was to assist other engineers in the systems group. This meant working with Creo to help design pipes and systems. I also worked with Microsoft programs such as excel, visio, and word. Finally, I also aided in improving a calculation tool for the cost of a liquefied natural gas system.
