At ISL I was responsible for cutting up Photoshop designs, coding-cross browser compatible templates utilizing transitional XHTML, CSS, and unobtrusive JavaScript. Templates were then integrated into an ASP.Net/SQL 2005 environment using custom .NET controls, XML and XSLT. Other responsibilities included writing custom JavaScript widgets, accurately quoting project work, and interacting with clients to provide CMS support. Highlights include: Google Map mashup - displaying real-time tracking of Clearwater fleet of ocean faring ships, and the redevelopment of Tourism Nova Scotia website.

My initial role at Minit Drugs was to design, develop and maintain a custom ERP web-based application (PODIMS). It eventually grew into managing a small team of IT professionals and providing strategic direction on the growth of PODIMS and technology in general at the company. Other responsibilities included managing the computer network, web-servers, procurement of computer hardware, and providing general PC support to the call centre. Some of the technologies I worked with included HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, JSP, DHTML, XML, PostgreSQL, and AJAX. Highlight include: design and development of an online drug interaction module that was integrated into PODIMS. This innovate web-based solution qualified for Tax Credits from the Government of Canada via the SR&ED program.

With Critical Mass I had the opportunity to work on many high-end client projects such as Mercedes Benz USA, Proctor & Gamble, NIKE, Dell, Albertsons INC, and Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. In addition to coding, my responsibilities included assisting with staff hiring within the web development department, accurately quoting work, assigning tasks to team members, and ensuring deadlines were met with utmost quality. Highlights included: leading the push to move away from table-based layouts to css-based layouts, successful launch of the Mercedes Benz C-class micro-site, and being part of the test team for Dell's online laptop purchasing component.
