I was the Financial Manager, General Support Division Director, Human Resources Manager, HIPAA Manager, Risk Manager, Fleet Manager, and Building Manager I improved the annual budget process, the monthly board financial report format, the annual financial statement preparation process, the monthly internal reports, the change fund process, the annual budget request presentation, and the cost allocation basis.

Audited Idaho State Agencies. I performed audits designed to attest to the State of Idaho´s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), Federal audits as required by Federal regulations, financial statement audits, and management reviews. Desk audits of financial reports submitted by other government agencies. I enjoyed the audit work and rarely failed to find ways that the agencies could improve their processes.

Supervised a staff of three. Performed or supervised all of the day to day accounting functions of the District including accounts receivable, accounts payable, contract billing, financial reporting, switchboard, and mail room. I put in place a number of changes to processes, templates, databases, meetings, and so forth to streamline and improve the speed and accuracy of the processes under my direction.

Assist Federal disaster aid applicants through the disaster grant process from the initial applicant briefings through close out of the grants. Prepare presentations and associated documents. Review FEMA and applicant documents for compliance with Federal and State laws and rules. Communicate with FEMA, local, and State government officials in person, via phone, and email regularly.
