Shannon has worked at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center since she was a freshman. She worked her way into a leadership position where she helps oversee the operations staff. • Manage and update Welcome Desk Attendant, Facility Attendant and Operations Manager schedules with the use of Excel and Google Sheets • Regularly communicate with Welcome Desk Attendants and Operations Managers, including sending meeting, schedule, and hour submission reminders through e-mail, messaging, and in person conversations • Make and fill weekly deposits ranging from $20.00 to $1000.00 with Excel file deposit slips • Conduct and coordinate Welcome Desk training for new and returning employees, online through Google Forms, Canvas, and Excel as well as in-person sessions

• Communicate and consistently enforce University, departmental, and facility policies and procedures with all users and coworkers • Employ proper decision-making and conflict resolution skills with customers when policies and/or procedures are at issue or violated • Coordinate daily facility operations that include supervision of patrons and student staff, equipment setup and takedown, laundry, cleaning, hourly usage reports, and special events • Perform First Aid/CPR/AED, through the American Red Cross certification, when emergency or incidents happen at the facility

As a Welcome Staff Attendant, Shannon works with other employees to help maintain working facilities through customer service, communication, and written skills. • Communicated with members and guest to provide information and a welcoming presence • Took initiative to handle policy problems that that arose between patrons • Manage the Operation Staff portion of various social media accounts to create posts

As an Intern, Shannon worked alongside the Marketing Director and participate in various recruitment processes. • Conduct candidate sourcing using various job board such as LinkedIn, Bullhorn, and Indeed • Assisted in the implementation of an automation system and marketing tool • Support the Managing Directors day to day tasks by communicating with potential clients • Create Social Media graphics and posts using Canva

As a management intern, Shannon worked along side the department manager and sales team of the Floor-coverings department in order to provide guest with a pleasant shopping experience. Help create daily to do lists and manage inventory within the department. Create schedules that positively affect the payroll to sales ratio.

Business Management major, with a specialized focus on International Management, further emphasized by a concentration in Healthcare Management.
