My time at Warm and Fuzzy Veterinary Center transformed me into a detail-oriented, fast-paced, multi-tasking people-pleaser. I learned so many new skills in this position to take with me into future endeavors. My primary duties consisted of answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, responding to emails, triaging medical questions, learning and implementing veterinary medical terminology as well as hospital policies and philosophies, keeping and organizing client records, and processing payment transactions.

My position as a Mental Health Facilitator at Way Station, Inc. was my first experience using the tools and knowledge I acquired through gaining a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in real-world situations. In this role, I helped in the transition of adults from long-term Psychiatric facilities back into independent living. I did this by coaching the residents of the organization in daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, money-handling, and social skills. Throughout the day, it was an integral part of the position to implement therapeutic techniques and treatments into every discussion with residents and ensure they felt supported and understood. Amidst teaching these new skills and interacting with the members, it was important for me to take notes of our interactions and the moods of the members, as, at the end of day, I wrote detailed daily records on the individual residents regarding their activities, achievements, and interactions.

In my junior year of college, I worked with a Professor of Psychology as a Research Assistant. In this role, I helped assemble and design materials and survey instruments for a research study. Afterwards, I aided in analyzing the data collected from over 100+ students and input the statistics into an Excel spreadsheet to keep them organized and easy to access. During this time, I also doubled as a Teaching Aide to this Professor, where I created and graded assignments and exams as well as provided students with academic support throughout the year.

As a Student Manager of the Blough-Weis Library, my main duty was to oversee and advise the student Circulation Assistants in the pursuit of handling and shelving materials, and providing guidance at the Circulation Desk. It was my duty to know and understand all of the ins and outs of the library system and research guides in order to provide assistance when needed.

As a Circulation Assistant, I aided the staff Librarians in processing incoming and withdrawn materials, assisting students and clients with questions at the Circulation Information Desk, and handled cash deposits. I worked in this position for only one year before being promoted to a Student Manager position.
