Worked with the Safety and Security Director on safety and security corporate initiatives and managed procurement process for security master’s services agreement. Provided security support to the department. Reviewed and provided technical input to reports and other documents. Identified and developed new business leads, articulating about international development assistance programs and trends and Chemonics’ role therein, and expand knowledge beyond assigned region or primary technical area. Administered daily operations of USAID-funded projects in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Ensured contractual compliance with client and subcontractors. Managed and maintained communication between the home and field offices.

Primary clients were National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director’s Council of Public Representatives (COPR) and National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) Director’s Consumer Liaison Group (DCLG). Oversaw all daily operations on the contract, managing staff, and identifying financial requirements. Coordinated project’s strategic plan by synthesizing and interpreting NIH’s specifications in a timely and efficient manner.

Conceptualized and implemented project direction for staff development, authored grants and contracts, and communicated with potential consultants, evaluators, Advisory Committee members, and project officers. Secured funding for the program of $50,000 and incorporated additional health disciplines for the Washington Health Policy Fellowship Program (WHPFP). Organized and oversaw WHPFP placement sites, weekly sessions and activities to ensure program efficiency

Liaised and coordinatedwith country offices regarding personnel and financial matters in coordination with the human resources department, personnel recruitment, performance evaluation of personnel, and information management. Contributed to organization-wide strategic planning in the area of program development and participate in the development of improved policies, practices, and procedures. Organized and conducted trainings on professional conduct and skills development; informational sessions with partners and networks on special interest issues; and, other beneficial group activities. Successfully implemented a finance and operations training for all 25 staff members including project managers and department heads. Collaborated with the Resource Development Director to develop and maintain donor cultivation strategies and participate in formulation of the organizational fundraising strategy.
