My first employment. Thanks to the P&G work environment which laid foundation of my career to true global standard. Was a member of the team working for engineering department responsible for the complete maintenance activities of manufacturing and packaging of detergent powder.

Actively involved in the installation and commissioning of 2 piece Steel beverage cans line from project stage at Taloja facility- a joint venture between Rexam Europe and Hindustan Tin Works of India. Following the commencement of production took up the responsibility of production shift manager and was able to creatively contribute towards streamlining the production process for quality and capability to international standards. Further attended different management training programs including Statistical Process Control,Six Sigma for process capability analysis

Responsible for breakdown maintenance, fixing quality issues of all front end production machinery and any production related work during normal production in shift reporting to Shift manager. After 3 years of service I was moved to Engineering department and was responsible for Preventive Maintenance of all front end production machinery reporting to Engineering manager. Acquired skill and confidence in independently plan and execute complete maintenance of all front end can manufacturing machinery from hands on experience in various critical maintenance activities. Worked with OEM service engineers of all major front end machinery like Minster for press, Redicon for Die-sets Standun for bodymakers, Belvac for trimmers etc.

Responsible for complete maintenance of production machinery in Front end of 2 piece can manufacturing. This includes coil handling machines, Cupping press, Body maker machines, Coolant system, Washer and Dryer and other auxiliary machines. Apart from planning and organizing maintenance activities, the job includes necessary modifications for efficiency improvement and to match contemporary technological developments, managing size change over and monitoring and controlling spares.

* Managing all the shop floor activities within a shift that is relevant for a safe process, optimum quality and maximized production. * Effectively form the communication link between upper management and all the employees working in shift. * On behalf of the organization identify the capabilities, motivate and develop individuals in the team for best mutual benefit and for achieving organizational goals. * Maintain good housekeeping and good general working atmosphere in the plant.
