Hey! I am Amaanur, a Pre-Final year Aerospace Engineering student with a strong foundation in aerodynamics and thermal management. I have practical experience in aerodynamics and designing cooling systems for FSEV battery packs. My technical skills include proficiency in CAD and CFD softwares, and MATLAB. With a keen interest in propulsion systems, I am eager to contribute to innovative aerospace projects. Experience

Mechanical Powertrain- Thermal Head
Designed a battery pack using a surface cooling design-achieving a 31% weight reduction by eliminating heat sinks. Conducted multi-physics simulations-optimizing flow rate and cell spacing-achieving a 48% reduction in pressure drop. Performed Experimental tests on sample pouch cells to validate the simulations on a Cell Cycling Machine. Utilized Ansys Static Structural to perform simulations on the accumulator casing to ensure compliance with FSAE rules.

Aerodynamics Member
Kharagpur, West Bengal, India
Reduced the nose cone drag coefficient by 0.15 using parametric optimization, making it the team's first aerodynamic nose cone. Designed a three-element rear wing, and two-element front wing with an underbody diffuser to achieve a downforce coefficient of 1.48. Analysed wing mounts in ANSYS Static structural and performed Topology Optimization to achieve a weight reduction of 35%.

Design and Development Executive
Developed an experimental model for a VIV-based energy harvester for lab testing, enabling data-driven studies for prototyping. Performed structural simulations and proposed design changes to achieve an FOS>1.5 on the scaled up prototype for installation using ANSYS Structural.

CFD Research Intern
Developed a User-Defined Function in Ansys to simulate shape-morphing airfoils, for different applications. Increased aerodynamic efficiency of turbine blades by 15% by creating a vortex-panel based optimization algorithm using Sequential Quadratic Programming in MATLAB. Developed a CAD model for a novel Mobius-Duct design.
