Le Curateur public s'assure que les décisions sont prises dans l'intérêt de la personne représentée et le respect de ses droits et pour la sauvegarde de son autonomie. En dernier lieu, il agit lui-même comme curateur ou tuteur. Planifier, organiser, diriger et contrôler les diverses interventions Déterminer quels biens doivent être vendus Communiquer avec les proches de la personne représentée afin d’obtenir les autorisations requises pour vendre des actifs Valider et recouvrer les différentes sommes à recevoir Encaisser les sommes reçues au nom de la personne représentée Récupérer les sommes en dépôt dans les institutions financières Préparer les recommandations afin de justifier les gestes à poser et les décisions à prendre auprès des autorités concernées Négocier les ententes de paiement avec les créanciers et en effectuer le paiement Comptabiliser les actifs, les passifs, les revenus et les dépenses en conformité avec les principes comptables généralement reconnus Identifier les éléments importants du dossier qui nécessitent la mise en œuvre rapide d’actions prioritaires Identifier et évaluer les diverses problématiques de la personne représentée Déterminer les différentes options possibles Contribuer à l’élaboration de procédures de travail Proposer diverses solutions aux problèmes pouvant survenir Participer à la formation des nouveaux employés du service Administration of accounts receivables and payables, budget planning, banking verification are my principal tasks. Budget is made quarterly for people that Curateur represents to constantly review their financial position. Assets and liabilities are analyzed. If possible, liabilities are paid. Cash inflow and outflow are reviewed in order to obtain an income surplus at the month end. Based on this budget, two other tasks are managed every day.

I am responsible for merchandising Frito-Lay's complete line of quality products to existing accounts while driving my personal vehicle to several store locations in close proximity. It also includes communicating with store personnel and working closely with full time Frito-Lay Sales Representatives in a team environment. My work schedule is based on customer requirements. This includes weekend and holiday work schedules.

At the beginning of my participation, I was elected as a VP-finance of the Montreal branch. With my colleagues, we started working on different cultural projects targeted at the youth in the Ukrainian community, including cocktails, networking and other various special events. Being a non-for-profit organization, we had no monetary interest in what we did. The most important event that we did during my participation was a cultural event in cooperation with Concordia’s and McGill’s Ukrainian associations. We invited a two dance groups – one from Montreal and another one from New-York to illustrate visual differences between Ukrainian cultural dances and hip-hop as well as addles the origins of both styles. The event, which concluded with cocktails, generated a tremendous turn-out and was a great success. All profits from this event were given to the Montreal’s orphan children association. One year later, I was elected to be national treasurer for Canada for the organization. Since two years, I participate in organization of the yearly Ukrainian festival in collaboration with other organizations of the community. However, my principal tasks consist in collecting financial data from all branches of Youth Federation over the country to make one big financial report – one in June and one in December.

When necessary, I also took care of banking reconciliations, end of month closures and tax declarations.
