Sergio Iván García Gutiérrez

Metallurgical Engineer from Universidad de Chile, holding a Master’s degree in Mining. I have over 3 years of experience contributing to large-scale greenfield project development, including the prefeasibility stage of Norte Abierto, a joint venture between Barrick and Newmont. My expertise includes the development of geometallurgical models, managing study contracts with consulting firms and laboratory testing services, processing plant design and definition of gold and copper processes in collaboration with leading engineering companies such as Bechtel. I am passionate about working in cross-functional teams to deliver value driven solutions, enhance mineral recovery, and promote the sustainable development of mining projects from their earliest stages.
