• Leadership in training and mentoring of new engineers. • Customer and internal trainings on drill bits and downhole tools. • Monitor tool performance and report trends to product center through periodic reporting or on a case-by-case basis as necessary. • Manage field testing of new products (bits/tools) and help implementation of design improvements. • Manage and coordinate the gathering of competitor’s bit performance data. • Assist the sales force with detailed performance studies for optimization of drilling performance for critical or strategic applications. Coordinate lithology analysis software output. • Assist in the assembly of case histories and outstanding run reports for internal and external use. • Assist in the coordination and optimization of fixed cutter drill bit repair. • Co-ordinate field operations support for drilling tools product line. • Through constant customer contact maintain accurate monitoring of performance, activity, applications and competition. • Technically supervise integrated multi-product solutions to clients. • Analyze tool performance data and prepare and present customer presentations, performance summaries and outstanding run reports. • Oversee field analysis for failed tool investigation and coordinate with Sales and Service Quality Group to provide and present applicable incident report to the customer. • Coordination between Drilling Solutions, Product Line engineering and reliability group. • Provide BHA and Drill-String recommendations. • Make recommendations to enhance existing products to drive reliability. • Integrate drilling dynamics data and surface data to optimize drilling tool performance.
