About
More impact hardware startups should be successful and that’s what I’m working on. If you want to learn about how to build hardware, welcome home! I founded Pratik Development in hopes of creating and implementing methods that make a hardware startup succeed by collaborating with their founders and teams. I create strategic mechanisms to review a startup and define what inefficiencies, pitfalls, and risks are ahead followed by a crafted plan to reduce them. I build customer products with them in the lab, review their designs, help them set-up & ramp-up their supply chain, develop manufacturing processes, help them scope out equipment, find production partners and even help teams scale up their corporate operations (i.e. hiring, implementing low-touch ERP systems, project management..etc.). With all my startups, we’ve had incredible successes in reducing production cost, de-risking critical technical risks, slashing assembly times, developing a robust supply chain network, improving team performance, and in turn extending runway. I love what I do and have every intention to extend my impact as far as I can. If you want to collaborate drop me a line. Professional background insights: After working in cleantech (Commonwealth Fusion Systems), space (Analytical Space & Accion Systems), consumer-tech startups and Toyota Research Institute as a mechanical engineer, system integrator and program manager, I decided to devote my time to helping as many innovators as possible. Along my full-time gig as a founder, I am a Mentor in Residence at Techstars Paris, Innovation Advisor for FORGE (Greentown Labs), SME for Scale4ClimateTech. You can also catch me giving workshops, talks and partaking in panel discussion regarding hardware innovation, pitfalls to avoid and best practices. I get behind the mic to record my podcast for hardware entrepreneurs called The Builder Circle by Pratik.

Superconductor Manufacturing Advisor
Boston, MA
Led the end-to-end development and deployment of first-of-its-kind manufacturing equipment, from initial concept through to successful site acceptance. Directed the implementation of a multi-million-dollar, high-throughput superconducting production line, significantly advancing manufacturing capacity and operational readiness. Served as an embedded engineering consultant, partnering closely with Manufacturing and High-Temperature Superconductivity (HTS) teams to design, de-risk, and deliver critical superconducting system capabilities.

Technical Program Manager
Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States
I worked with the Dexterous Manipulation team to research and develop soft robotics methods to enable whole body manipulation utilizing tactile feedback and compliance. My day to day consisted of managing technical strategy with tech leads, test strategy and execution, mechanical design/assembly, technical roadmapping, schedule/budget/risk management and mentoring.
