Administrative duties that I performed included pulling and preparing charts for the day, greeting patients in office, answering phone calls and reaching out to patients via phone calls and emails. Collect payment via cash, checks and credit card payments. Verified patient's insurance information; frequency, deductibles and co-payments before their scheduled appointment.

* Internship for Pima Medical * During my 6 weeks here with Bright Now! Dental, I learned about dental codes and dental procedures. I answered phones, greeted patients, confirmed appointments, audited charts for the next day, made appointments and most importantly used my customer service experience to advantage.

As an Insurance Coordinator, I am contacting insurance companies in regards to patient's dental insurance before their appointments. I need to verify both the remaining benefits and if the deductible has been met. If they are no longer active for dental coverage, I get the termination date and inform the patient before they are scheduled. Sending Pre-Auths to insurance companies in regards to treatment that is recommended is sent out to verify insurance payments and expected patient out of pocket.
