I have worked on the backend of a fintech app where security and real-time performance really mattered. My main job was building RESTful APIs using Node.js and PostgreSQL to handle wallet functionality and transaction logic everything from storing funds securely to processing payments on the fly. I also integrated third-party payment gateways, making sure financial data stayed synced and accurate in real time. To keep things scalable and organized, I broke the backend into microservices and deployed them with Docker. It made updates way easier and helped the whole system stay stable as traffic grew.

I can remembered one of the projects I worked on involved building a centralized database to help manage and organize partnership records. Before this, the team had to rely on scattered spreadsheets and manual tracking, which wasn’t sustainable. I designed a cleaner, more structured system that made it easy for the team to keep everything in one place. This made tracking partnerships way more efficient and actually helped improve how we engaged with donors over time.
