With 15+ years proficiency in both academic research and biotechnology industry, my scientific background is rooted to membrane protein research and structural biology. I devote my skills and experience to early-stage drug discovery, including GPCRs and ion channels programs. With proven record in project management and project leadership, I have demonstrated ability and innovation to manage challenging research schedules while working in a complex and demanding environment. My technical expertise includes: • Structural Biology: soluble and membrane protein crystallization: robotic dispensing systems, x-ray diffraction data collection, processing, phasing and crystallographic structure refinement; molecular modeling and drug design; 19 atomic structures depositions in the PDB. Electron microcopy and 2D crystallization of membrane proteins. • Biophysics: multiangle light scattering coupled to size-exclusion chromatography, small-angle X-ray scattering, circular dichroism, analytical ultracentrifugation, amide hydrogen/deuterium exchange mass spectroscopy, ligand binding methods (radioligand binding assay, microscale thermophoresis, surface plasmon resonance). • Biochemistry: protein stabilization (detergent micelles; polymer/MSP-bounded lipid nanodiscs, proteoliposomes), protein complex immunoprecipitation (Co-IP), limited proteolysis, crosslinking, glycan identification. • Bioproduction: overexpression of soluble (including antibodies) and membrane proteins in bacteria, yeast and mammalian cells. Expertise in insect cells. Bioreactor scale-up. Protein purification using chromatographic systems. • Molecular biology: construct design and cloning in expression vector, mutagenesis, SDS and Native PAGE, Western blotting.
