Designed and coded additional checks and balances for EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) to reduce the liability and loss of Purchase Orders and Invoices. Coded and installed upgrades and/or replacements for EDI's preparation for Y2K.

Ensures accurate release testing for all new applications, providing final approval for bug-free, fully functioning solutions. Mentors multiple teammates on a daily basis. Works seamlessly with more than 50+ teams totaling over 3,000 fellow associates. Presents to audiences greater than 200 members.

Subject-matter-expert (SME) on Unix, C, EDI, and Security implementations (Sarbane's-Oxley and HIPAA). Daily tasks included meeting with business customers to ensure that the technical solutions met with business needs. Worked with infrastructure teams to build secure servers to meet new security standards.

Convert EDI to X12 version 004010 for Y2K compliance. Introduced a new process of creating changes in a production environment that influenced the method of all changes enterprise-wide. Heavily involved in internationalization of Walmart EDI, including translations and business implementations.

Primary responsibility for managing BNSF Logistics Integration Teams in the integration activities areas and/or support for B2B and/or Enterprise Application Integration. Collaborates closely with customers, the IT Leadership, Business Analyst teams, IS teams, and the Global Infrastructure team to align the support of Integration solutions. Research and evaluate additional tools and services in the marketplace that can be utilized to provide enhanced functionality to our solutions and systems portfolio.

Provides support for the vision and leadership of information technology initiatives for strategy, planning, policy, development, and implementation of IT in accordance with the mission, core values, and business needs aligned with the desires of customers. Project management for implementation of new systems/software/hardware. Ensures that staff is consulted in the completion of organizational projects as needed/required. Ensures that project communication and documentation is completed appropriately. Conducts research and provides useful information to guide future system changes and upgrades. Provides for upgrades, including the acquisition of hardware and software to improve communications and sharing of information amongst agency staff.
